Decorative vase with a power transmission line
1970
Leningrad Art Glass Factory, 1970s
Uncolored cut glass, engraving
5.2 x. 17.8 cm (2.5 x 7")
In shape the vase is close to well-known pieces by A.M. Ostroumov, such as the vases “Dandelion” and “Acorn” (1974). The “electrification” motif used in its decoration has always been a popular and signal motif of Soviet decorative and applied arts and served as a symbol of national industrial growth.
