Anatoly Yegorov (1907–1986), a well-known Soviet photographer and master of reportage photography, served as a photo correspondent for the Rabochaya Moskva (Working Moscow) newspaper from 1930 on. During the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945) Yegorov took many frontline photographs as a Vo slavu Rodiny (To the Glory of the Homeland) paper correspondent. Among his better known photographs are reportages of the Odessa defense. He met the end of the war in the Far East and photographed the Victory over Japan Parade. After the war Yegorov worked for the Krasnaya Zvezda, Izvestia and Sovetskaya Rossiya newspapers. He was awarded several Soviet Orders and medals.
