Mikhail Brusilovsky (Misha Shaevich) was born in Kiev in 1931. He attended the Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture of Leningrad between 1953 and 1959, majoring in graphic arts. In 1959 he settled in Sverdlovsk (Yekaterinburg). A Merited Artist of Russia, Brusilovsky is a recognized master of expressive painting. He has been exhibiting actively since the 1970s. He held solo shows and contributed to group projects in Moscow, St Petersburg, Oslo, Helsinki, Berlin, Paris, New York, Buenos Aires, Manila, Haiti, Santa Fe, Canberra, Pevek, Uelen, Tokyo, Los Angeles and other cities the world over. Brusilovsky’s works are in the collections of Russian and French museums, as well as in private collections in Russia, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, England, Israel and the USA.
