The Moscow University building in the Sparrow Hills (designed by the architect L.V. Rudnev, 1885–1956) was officially inaugurated on September 1, 1953, and has become a piece of trademark Moscow architecture. Reproductions of this grandiose ensemble were especially popular in souvenir production.
